Ivan became the first [[alpha]] of the Sept by buying the votes of the Bonegnawers in the alpha election. Despite his [[Silver Fangs]] blood, he was an ineffectual leader. His most memorable words were along the line of "You keep fighting the wyrm, I have to return [to the sept] to protect my position as alpha." However, he died a hero's death when the reformed Bluepelt sept retook the [[Cearn]].
