The Story:
John "Laughs At Death" McKinley is a originaly Scotish Fianna who on a very young age came to Holland. After years touring with his band one night he blacked out and woke up with his complete band around him ripped into pieces. He understood what happened thinking he was a Kinfolk he realised he was a Garou and started running. Not very much people knew he felt a lot of regret for what happened and always weared the pain and guilt with him.
John Came to the Bluepelt Sept to escape from the police and a old class mate who could grow claws but clearly wasn´t a Garou. After a few months settling in Delft het became the Elder Galliard, he was Elder Galliard once ever 5 months competing for the position almost every month against Sjoerd Pieterse,"Second to None" Dawnstalker, Jilly Sees-things and later on also with Jari 'Fights with Cave' Flo
With all the guilt he had he slowly began to drink a lot not using his Godgiven ability to withstand alcohol and met some Fianna who where different, he started to hang out with Daniel Rose and some Fianna who walked the spiral. Before John could walk the spiral on a moot Lothar threw down a Wyrm Scale showing who the traitors where, as John fought with the traitors they cleansed him and helped him getting back on the right path. From this night on John became a new born Garou het started to fight the Wyrm fiercly and almost got killed a few times.
Once there was a ritual involving sticks and stones in which a dark prophecy came out and the caern would be annihilated, the theurges couldn´t get the Sphere around the bawn up because they didn´t have enough power. John being a unselfish man gave up his Family Heirloom knowing he would not get Renown until het redeemed himself and got a new one to safe the sept. Luckyly the rest of his packmember of The Wyld Hunt followed and gave up their heirlooms as well. Thus the Sphere could be summoned to safe the Sept. As the forces of the wyrm stood outside of the Sphere a pack of Black Spiral Dancers showed up and one of them started to read the Dark Litany, John didn´t wait long to scream as hard as he could and make clear what OUR Litany is all about.
At this time people thought he became a bit crazy, he said he was part Faeries but no one believed him.
Years later due to unfortunate events Granum got killed and a group of Garou decided to go to the Deep Umbra and get him back. John just became Fostern and together with Ayla Icta, Martin ´Scherpspreker´, Jimmy ´Eerste Wond´ and some other garou he went there to find him in the past caged by big black wolves that they defeated as they took Granum they came to a stone slab in the sky with a Silver Fang on it telling them to make a choice, or Granum stayed dead or someone would give himself up to Replace Granum. As Ayle wanted to give herself up and others as well John told them, I am fostern you are not I stay. So it was done John stayed on a other stone slab where a Bone Gnawer was sitting and the other garou returned with Granum telling him they would come back for him, no one did and John his Story didn´t end it will never End, he became a Spirit.
When you see Granum you see a part of John McKinley in him, as he merged with Granum.
He was full of Passion had a big mouth but he contributed a lot to the Bluepelt sept. As he became a part of Granum he actually never died and so he really deserves the name "Laughs at Death"
